Honor Oriretan calls out VeryDarkMan, asks for an explanation about the allegedly missing funds of non-governmental organizations

Social media commentator Honor Oriretan has called out activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) for alleged irregularities involving funds donated to his non-governmental organization (NGO), sparking fresh debates on social media platforms.

In a detailed post published online, Oriretan raised concerns about the management of donations received by the organization, questioning what it described as a noticeable drop in the reported amount of money available to the NGO. He called on the group to provide clearer explanations and maintain a high level of transparency regarding its finances.

The commenter stated that the organization’s funds have been significantly reduced and also questioned the progress and visibility of projects allegedly related to the initiative.

Oriretan further asserted that there are unanswered questions regarding the handling of donations, calling on those responsible to answer for the difference in figures and clarify how the funds were used.

He also drew comparisons with situations in which the VDM sought accountability from other public figures, arguing that an activist should be ready to solve similar problems directed at his own organization.

In his post, Oriretan stated:

“VDM’s NGO is mysteriously left with N60m out of N325m, but no one speaks instead of demanding accountability. Even more foolish VDM did not achieve any tangible project with our NGO’s money, but the money suddenly disappeared, reduced to N60m from N325m. HOW. All the projects that VDM flaunts are fully sponsored by Burna, so where did VDM spend the remaining N265m.

We hope the G0FundMe ransom for the kidnappers will not make up the N265m that disappeared from this NGO because the plan looked more like embezzlement than compassion.

If it was someone else, he would get the hell out of that person and quickly write to the police, efcc while his Ratels would be barking anyway, BUT NOW THAT IT’S HIM, THERE IS JUST SILENCE EVERYWHERE, WHICH IS SO UNWISE.

His financial condition suddenly changed only after I donated my huge sum of N100 to this NGO. VDM no longer drinks water in bags, no longer lives in a supermarket, giving up the single room that brought him fame.

He is now touring countries, driving planes up and down JUST AFTER I DONATED THAT HUGE AMOUNT OF N100 OF MINE to his NGO

IT SEEMS VDM EMPLOYED MY N100 AND N265M. He has to throw it back. So unwise

MY VERDICT: VDM has 48 hours to apologize, account for the missing N265m. The claim that he saved N100 million without approval while coming to say so after he was caught, exposed speaks volumes and yet he claims to have integrity. Be wise.. Don’t be foolish.”
