“How can anyone pay N10m to stay in a flooded place.” – laments the lady after the great flood of the submerged residential complex

AND lady expressed her frustration after waking up to find heavy flooding inundating the area around her residence following the downpour.
The woman said floodwaters rose to knee-level in parts of the complex, forcing residents to wade through the water.
She noted that her own apartment escaped flooding only because her property was slightly lowered higher than neighboring properties.
She also bemoaned the state of the neighborhood, questioning how residents can pay millions of naira to live in an area that has been repeatedly hit by floods.

Sharing what she witnessed, the lady said: “Guys, I woke up and saw my complex like this. The water is so deep that it reaches that lady on her knees.”
She added, “How can someone pay N10m to stay in a flooded place. If not, my complex is a bit higher, all this water would come into my house. All the people on the street had water entering their houses.”
The flood causes reactions
Her post has since sparked backlash on social media, with many users sympathizing with flood-affected residents and expressing concern over recurring drainage and infrastructure problems in some housing communities.
Others shared similar experiences from their neighborhoods, while calling for improved drainage systems and better urban planning to reduce the impact of heavy rainfall on homes and surrounding communities.
