‘I would rather join bandits than sell akara, kulikula’ – Mr Real

Afrobeats singer Mr. Real was reacting to recent comments by Oluremi Tinubu, who encouraged Nigerians to consider small businesses such as selling akara, kulikuli and roasted maize as a means of earning a living amid the country’s economic challenges.
Reacting to the remarks, the “Legbegbe” singer described the advice as insensitive in light of the economic hardship many Nigerians are facing.
Mr Real also made a controversial remark, saying he would rather become a bandit than do the petty trading suggested by the First Lady.
He added that he believes the government will eventually amnesty and rehabilitate him if he goes that route.
The singer wrote on his Instagram page… “I’d rather join a bandit than sell kulikule and akara. And my target will only be politicians. At least if they catch me, they’ll rehabilitate me.”
