“I’ll Never Go Back After Following Jesus” — Man Recounts Acid Attack After Sharing Testimony of Conversion

AND man has shared his story of surviving an acid attack, claiming the incident happened shortly after he spoke publicly about his Christian faith and personal conversion experience.

According to his testimony, he spoke at a church gathering where he shared his story of salvation and preached to those present.

He said the event generated a great response, with many people making religious commitments during the program.

The man explained that the attack happened as he was leaving the church after the meeting.

Recounting the incident, he said some people called out to him, apparently asking for help.

According to him, the situation quickly changed when he returned to answer.

Describing what followed, he said:

“Unknown to me, there were angry Muslims who were outraged by the increasing number of people leaving Islam in my community in The Gambia because of my testimony.”

He said that two people threw acid at him, causing severe facial injuries and eye damage.

Despite multiple surgeries, he said he continues to experience medical complications related to the attack.

Faith remains unchanged

Looking back on his road to recovery, the man said that the support of his fellow Christians helped him in a difficult period.

Speaking of the physical scars and lingering pain, he stated:

“I carry this scar and pain for Jesus. This is a sign that I have passed from darkness to light.”

He also reaffirmed his commitment to his faith despite the challenges.

“Although they continue to threaten me, there is no turning back from following Jesus.”

His testimony caused reactions on the Internet, and many users of social networks expressed their condolences, sent prayers and discussed the importance of religious freedom, tolerance and peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths.
