The woman made the statement while explaining why she finds it difficult to forgive her husband despite remaining committed to the marriage.

According to her, she has contributed significantly to the family assets and believes that she has played a major role in acquiring the properties currently owned by the household.

She further stated that her husband often hid information about his income from her, even though he was working at a well-paid job.

The woman also claimed that his financial support was limited, forcing her to cover household expenses from her own resources.

Financial and marital challenges

Recounting her experience, the woman said the situation affected several aspects of her life, including her health.

She explained that concern for her well-being eventually led her to seek medical attention.

Speaking about the impact of marriage on her emotional state, she said:

“As I live here, so my husband makes me, if it’s not God, I’m not sure I can forgive. As I think now, if I want to buy something from N400, he will give me N50 and I will add to it.”

Refusal to leave the marriage

Despite the complaints, the woman claimed that she had no intention of ending the marriage. She insisted that she would not leave the relationship or engage in another relationship outside of it.
