“Your commando is broken” – Alexx Ekuba’s bodyguard breaks down in emotional tribute at actor’s wake

There were tears and emotions at the ceremony to honor the Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo in Arochukwu, Abia Statewhile his personal bodyguard, Miracle, paid a heartbreaking tribute to his late boss.

Miracle, who described Alex as his mentor, elder brother, friend and father figure, said he is still struggling to come to terms with the actor’s death.

“I always call him Doc, Boss Ikuku Ikenna. I named my son after him because he was a great father to me. You’re not just my boss, you’re my mentor, my older brother, my confidant and one of the most important people in my life. I keep wishing it was all a joke,” he said.

The emotional bodyguard recalled how he spent years working closely with Alex, exchanging conversations, making plans and learning valuable life lessons from him.

According to him, Alex had a unique way of communicating and could easily recognize when something was wrong, revealing it as well the actor taught him how to treat people kindly.

“While, I opened the door for you as always, expecting you to come out. I stood there hoping and praying that this wasn’t real, but you didn’t come out.

Your commando is broken. I can’t look at your pictures anymore. I can’t watch your movies anymore. Everything I have today is because of you. Boss, I love you. I will always love you. Rest until we meet again,” he added.

His tribute moved many mourners to tears, and videos of the vigil quickly went viral on social media.

As family, friends, colleagues and fans continue to mourn the actor, Miracle’s touching words served as a reminder of the impact Alex Ekubo had on the lives of those around him.
