Omoni Oboli is releasing a movie in memory of Alex Ekubo, to donate the earnings to the family

Nollywood actress and director Omoni Oboli has announced plans to donate proceeds from her recent film project to the family of late actor Alex Ekubo.
The actress announced this shortly after the actor’s funeral ceremony.
A final farewell to Alex Ekubo
Alex Ekubo was laid to rest on Thursday, June 18, following funeral services attended by several entertainment industry figures.
Actors and close associates including Ini Edo, IK Ogbonna, Mike Godson, Omoni Oboli, Ayo Makun and others gathered to pay their last respects.
Omoni announces a special tribute
After the burial, Omoni took to her Instagram page to reflect on the emotional moment and thank God for the successful completion of the burial rite.
She revealed that in honor of Alex’s memory and legacy, she will release their film titled The First Lady on her YouTube platform.
It will be given to the family
According to the actress, all proceeds from the screening of the film will be donated to Alex Ekubo’s family.
In her words:
“…Today we finally lay the body of our amazing best, brother, dearest friend. And, you know, I struggled with this for a while, but I decided to do it anyway after talking to the family. So, in honor of his memory, I’m releasing The First Lady, the movie that started this whole friendship over 11, 12 years ago. It’s on Omonyi TV today. The proceeds will go to the family; I mean the entire proceeds will go to the family. Please watch it again to everyone you know who is watching. This is just another way of giving a tribute to him and those he left behind. You are forever in our hearts, dear.
