Veteran Nollywood actor Chiwetal Ago has paid an emotional tribute to late actor Alex Ekubo, expressing grief over his death.
Emotional message
In a video posted on his Instagram page, the veteran actor addressed the matter Alex Ekubo dedication to his craft and the impact he left in the film industry.
He said the late actor put “so much passion, sacrifice and heart” into his work, describing him as young, talented and full of promise.
“A Light Gone Too Soon”
Chiwetalu Agu expressed his pain at the loss, noting that it hurts to see someone with so much potential leave so soon.
He wrote:
“Rest in peace, Alex Ekubo. I am saddened by your passing. As a fellow actor, who walked this role for many years, I know how much passion, sacrifice and heart you put into your craft. You were young, talented and full of promise, and it hurts to see a light like yours go out so soon.”
“The Lost Storyteller”
He added that the film industry has not only lost an actor, but also a storyteller who had many more roles to revive.
“The stage and screen have not only lost an actor, but also a storyteller who has many more roles to bring to life. Your presence, energy and dedication will not be forgotten,” he said.
