“You kept me together when I lost my mom” – an emotional tribute from the wife of Alex Ekubo appeared on the Internet

An emotional tribute written by the late Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo’His wife appeared online, where she shared memories of their love, marriage and the special bond they shared.
In the now-viral note, she described the actor as her “Dada” and recalled the names he gave her, including “Pookstar”, “Asa IKUKU” and “Nwa”, saying the names had become home to her.
She revealed how he stood by her when she lost her mother a year ago, describing him as her anchor during one of the most difficult periods of her life.
“When my mother died a year ago, you were my anchor. You held me together during a difficult season. Your love gave me the strength to keep putting one foot in front of the other,” she wrote.
The grieving wife said that she still reaches for him every day, only to remember that he is no longer there in the same way.
She also shared how Alex expressed his love through handwritten notes he left around their house.
“Little messages from my Dada to his Nwa. Sometimes sweet, sometimes just a simple reminder that I’m loved. Dada, you matter. So many people, in so many ways.
And that is why this loss seems enormous. You are my Dadaa, you will always be my favorite human being. Forever yours Nwa,” she added.
The late actor’s wife described their relationship as a journey of faith, saying they prayed together and trusted God’s promises. She added that Alex influenced many lives with his kindness and care.
Alex Ekubo, who has died aged 40 after a battle with cancer, has continued to receive heartfelt tributes from loved ones, colleagues and fans who remember his kindness and the impact he left behind.
