“They slept so deeply that they didn’t move their bodies”

Nigerian lady has shared a terrifying experience she allegedly had while traveling from a village near Akure, claiming she feared she was kidnapped after boarding a suspicious bus.

According to a video shared on TikTok, she said she waited on the side of the road for over an hour before boarding a bus bound for Ilesha, where she soon noticed most of the passengers were asleep.

Narrating the ordeal in Yoruba, she said:

“When I turned my back, I noticed that there were more people who were sleeping than those who were awake. I was shocked, but I thought that they might come from a distant destination and we were tired.”

The lady explained that her fears grew when almost everyone in the vehicle fell asleep, leaving only one other passenger awake. She claimed her repeated attempts to ask the driver to stop were ignored.

She further discovered that the area had no network coverage, making it impossible to contact her family for help.

“Another guy who was awake told me: ‘Sister, don’t get upset. I also shouted that I wanted to get down, but no one answered me.’ At that moment I was very scared”, she remembered.

According to her, the situation became more dire as the bus continued on from her destination despite her repeated pleas to leave it.

Her story has sparked concern online, with many social media users advising travelers to be extra careful when boarding vehicles in unfamiliar locations.

The lady said she and another passenger were eventually thrown out in the bush far from their intended destinations, adding that she still wonders where the other sleeping passengers were taken.
