Why I dropped out of university despite paying over £2m – Peller

Popular TikTok streamer Peller has responded to critics who have questioned his education, insisting he still plans to return to school despite the backlash he’s receiving online.
Speaking during the live session, he revealed that he once secured a place at the university and paid over £2 million in tuition fees, but ended up leaving the program after the institution allegedly failed to deliver on its promise.
“My wife is a high school graduate, and my future child will also be a high school graduate. We will all be high school graduates. It’s not too late to go back to school.” he said.
Peller explained that he enrolled after the university allegedly promised that he would be allowed to attend lectures while continuing his online streaming in class. However, he claimed that the school later changed its position.
He also stated that he paid more than any other student at the institution.
“The university I wanted to attend was nagging me. They tricked me into broadcasting lectures but they wouldn’t allow me to broadcast, so I stopped going. I paid over ₦2 million. Even the students attending that school today never paid that amount, but I did,” he added.
His comments drew mixed reactions online, with some praising his determination to continue his education while others questioned his claims about tuition fees.
Peller’s remarks come amid ongoing conversations about education following rapper Ycee’s criticism of the growing “Olodo uprising” and what he described as “Peller culture” in Nigeria.
