“Pastor tried to help Alex Ekubo but was blocked” – Victoria Inyama makes new claims

  • Nollywood actress Victoria Inyama has commented on the controversy surrounding the illness and death of Alex Ekubo.
  • She made new allegations related to events during Ekubo’s battle with cancer.
  • Her comments come after David Ekubo, a family member, spoke publicly about the circumstances surrounding the actor’s final days.

Nollywood actress Victoria Inyama has addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding the illness and death of late actor Alex Ekubo, making new claims about the events that unfolded during his battle with cancer.

Her statements followed a statement released by Ekubo’s family member, David Ekubo, who recently spoke publicly about the circumstances surrounding the actor’s final days.

Reacting to the development, Victoria expressed her sympathy for David, acknowledging the challenges he may have faced when he decided to speak out.

According to the actress, a prominent Nigerian pastor has reportedly shown interest in helping Alex during his illness by providing financial support for his medical care. However, he claims that the actor’s surroundings consistently claimed that he was in good condition, preventing intervention.

Victoria claimed that despite the priest’s repeated attempts to gain access and offer help, his efforts were allegedly blocked. She further stated that the pastor was informed of Alex’s condition only after his death.

She emphasized that the pastor’s intention was not to provide spiritual healing, but to ensure that Alex received the best possible medical treatment, regardless of cost or location.

She wrote on Instagram:

“@davidekubo I know how hard it was for you to get here….I know how far you went for dialogue……this may not be the best but that’s ok……..no name calling….one of the greatest/kindest pastors in Nigeria tried to help but She always told him Alex was fine!……

“D Pastor (redacted) pushed to get access but was always blocked…..If that pastor was allowed access, no matter what it cost in this world, we would all gather abroad…….Pastor was not even told when Alex was in the hospital, he was only called when Alex died….note that the pastor was not offering a ‘miracle’, he is very practical and was willing to settle any medical bill anywhere in the world…..any real mother would accept help to try anything and everything……that’s the part that hurts……cancer has more treatment options these days, but it’s all good, just remember Dède is very vulnerable now 😭.”

Her comments followed accusations from the family of Alex Ekubo, who accused his stepmother of restricting access to the actor during his illness and contacting relatives only after his death.
