Lady questions prayer request for insecurity, after Adeyinka Alaseyori asks Nigerians to pray

Lady questions repeated calls to citizens to pray for the government in midstream uncertainty and kidnapping across the country.
Let’s remind you, the gospel singer Adeyinka Alaseyori called on Nigerians to pray for their leaders and over the insecurity that plagues the country.
Reacting to recent appeals by religious leaders to Nigerians to support the government with prayers, the woman asserted that elected officials already possess the powers, resources and security apparatus needed to deal with the country’s challenges.
She asked whether the inability to address insecurity stems from a lack of capacity or a lack of political will.
The woman also expressed her frustration at the constant incidents of kidnapping and violence, suggesting that those in positions of power should take stronger measures.
She said…
“What do you mean I should pray for the Nigerian government that it can’t do it alone? It can’t do it alone or it won’t do it? Who benefits from these things? Do you think I benefit from kidnapping and killing people? Do you think if the president wants to, he can’t just pick up the phone and say hey, I want this to end in less than 24 hours and you think it won’t? Do you know how many soldiers and police we have?”
