“If your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, do this…”

AND Nigerian soldier went viral after sharing practical safety tips for Nigerians on what to do if their vehicles break down in isolated locations.
ua video circulating on social media, the trooper urged motorists to prioritize their personal safety over their vehicles or valuables whenever they find themselves stuck in potentially dangerous areas.
Soldier shares safety tips
According to the trooper, the first thing anyone should do when their vehicle breaks down in a lonely place is stay calm.
“Gentlemen, if your car breaks down in the middle of the road or any lonely place, pay attention to this. These are the things you should do to protect yourself from danger. Number 1: Don’t panic. Calm down because if you panic, you’ll be confused, and when you’re confused, you can’t think clearly.”
Keep your distance from the vehicle
The soldier also advised against staying too close to their broken down vehicles, especially in risk zones.
“Number two: Keep your distance from that vehicle. You must not be too close to the vehicle. Remember, this vehicle is replaceable. If something goes wrong with your life, you cannot be replaced.”
Remove your valuables
He further advised people to remove visible valuables such as jewelery and wristwatches and keep them out of sight.
“Number three: Any valuables on your body, things like necklaces, rings and watches, take them away from your body. You can pack them and even hide them, maybe inside your pants or wherever. Think smarter. Reason. Your life cannot be replaced. Stay safe at all times. That’s my message.”
