“Come out for us, it’s time for you to know your power” – the lovable Abiola boldly calls on cultists due to the crisis of insecurity

Popular sketch creator Sweet Abiola sparked online backlash after he publicly appealed to individuals involved in cult groups, urging them to redirect their influence to address insecurity in the country.
In a video he shared on his Instagram page, he called on Nigerians to recognize what he described as the power and influence of cult groups, suggesting that such power can be used positively.

“It is time for all Nigerians to know your power. It is time for all Nigerians to know that cultism is a good thing. It is time for all Nigerians to know that the cultism you are practicing has more advantages than disadvantages,” he said.
He added that many areas where cult activities are said to be active are also among areas affected by banditry and other forms of insecurity, calling for a review of how such influence could be redirected.
He also suggested that cult groups could shift their influence towards protecting affected communities across the country.
“Please all Nigerian cultists come out for us. Make Nigerians proud of you this time. You can do this for us please show your power,” he added.
The remark comes amid growing insecurity in the country, following the recent school kidnappings in Oyo State where more than 40 children, Allegedly, the teachers and the principal were taken away.
While some users questioned his statement, others discussed it within a broader conversation about insecurity and the role of youth groups in society.
