“Our country is bleeding” – Hilda Dokubo criticizes Tinubu’s response to insecurity, sends an emotional message

Nollywood veteran Hilda Dokubo has criticized President Bola Tinubu for the growing insecurity in the country, accusing leaders of being out of touch with the realities facing ordinary Nigerians.

In a viral video circulating on the internet, the actress claimed that public officials live a life of strict protection while citizens continue to be exposed to kidnappings, assaults and violence across the country.

“You live a great life. You drive armored vehicles flanked by armed security guards on both sides. Your children are nowhere near us. Even those who are, are equally protected. But not us ordinary Nigerians,” she said.

Dokubo said that the pain of the victims and their families should not be met with comparisons or parables, but with empathy and decisive action by those in power.

Referring to the recent school kidnapping incidents in Oriire LGA, Oyo State, she emphasized that the affected families need protection and solutions, not explanations.

The actress also expressed concern over the suffering of abducted children and their families, saying the situation should prompt the president to act urgently.

“How can you tell parables when the children are in tears? Let no parent go through this fear of knowing that they might be the ones to bury their children.”

“The farmers who are losing their farmland every day don’t need your distance. They need empathy and they need action. They need you to be able to protect the land,” she added.

She concluded by calling on the government to respond more strongly to insecurity, warning that the crisis continues to affect communities across the country.
