  • She took her concerns directly to the president and first lady via an Instagram post.
  • Jegede stressed that Nigerians should not be treated as people who can be easily exploited or ignored.

Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has slammed the Nigerian government, accusing its leaders of showing little concern for the welfare of the citizens.

In a post she shared on her Instagram page, the actress directly addressed the President and the First Lady, stating that Nigerians should not be treated as people who are easy to exploit or ignore.

According to Jegede, criminal activities occur in many parts of the world, but the situation in Nigeria is particularly worrying as many citizens feel abandoned and believe that no one will come to their aid when they are in danger.

She further noted that the violence and suffering experienced across the country cuts across ethnic, religious and social lines, affecting Nigerians regardless of their origins.

Her words…

“The Nigerian government lacks a sense of humanity.

@officialasiwajubat @officialoluremitinubu … Nigerians are not doormats, nor are they people you just prey on. Crimes happen everywhere in the world; the fact that Nigerians know that no one will ever look for them is a problem. These atrocities were not tribal, religious or class.”
