Nollywood star, Zubby Michael, has appealed to Nigerian youths not to allow themselves to be lured into violence in the run-up to the 2027 general elections.
In a video that gained attention on social media, the actor expressed concern over the country’s ongoing challenges, including insecurity, poor infrastructure, corruption and ineffective governance. He questioned the reasons why young people fight each other for the welfare of political figures.
According to him, many individuals who incite political violence are often unwilling to expose their own children or relatives to danger, leaving ordinary youth to bear the consequences.
The actor stressed that Nigerian youths should see themselves as allies and not enemies, urging them to focus on dealing with the problems affecting the nation. He cited problems such as kidnappings, injustice, insecurity, corruption and bad leadership as real battles that require collective action.
Zubby further encouraged young Nigerians to use their voices and energy to demand accountability from leaders and push for meaningful development instead of engaging in politically motivated conflicts.
