Single mother lives with regret after a series of personal decisions led to the loss of financial support, a failed relationship and mounting economic challenges.

According to a report published online, the woman, who was in her late 30s, was in a relationship with a divorced man in his 60s who provided significant support to her and her child.

The man rented and furnished her apartment, paid school fees and developed a close relationship with her child, including helping with school runs and other parenting duties.

The desire for marriage changes the relationship

Despite the stability of the arrangement, the woman wanted marriage and a long-term commitment.

However, the older man said he had made it clear he was not interested in marriage and did not want more children, preferring to maintain a relationship without formal commitments.

The situation changed when the woman met another man living abroad who promised her marriage and a future together.

According to the report, she decided to pursue the new relationship despite the warnings of the older man.

Challenges accompany a new relationship

The man, who lives abroad, later visited Nigeria and the relationship resulted in a pregnancy. The woman carried her pregnancy and gave birth.

However, tragedy struck when the child developed health complications and died a few months later.

The account further stated that the man from abroad eventually cut off communication, stopped answering calls and blocked her.

Meanwhile, the elderly man moved on with his life and cut off contact with the wife and child he had previously supported for more than two years.

Unable to maintain the lifestyle she once enjoyed, the woman struggled with rent and school fees.
