A man was left frustrated as his food order fell apart after the plastic bag tore on the way home
AND man recounted how a simple food order turned into disappointment after a package he picked up from a nearby vendor opened and spilled on the road.
The man, who ordered 5 eggs, 5 cuts of sweet meat and a chicken while working from home due to hunger, said he waited around an hour before getting a text that his food was ready. Later he went to pick it up, paid and headed home.
However, in the middle of his journey, tragedy struck.
Accident on the road
When he was about to cross the road, the black plastic bag of food suddenly ripped from the bottom, causing the entire meal to scatter on the ground.
He described how he briefly stood in shock, unable to comprehend what had just happened, before finally picking up the remaining portions of the meal from the ground.
A visibly frustrated customer returned to the seller to explain the situation.
The seller, hearing what happened, replied: “Eiyah… what are we going to do now?”
Return to seller and reaction
After the incident, the man asked for another plastic bag for the little food that was salvaged, which the vendor provided to him before he left.
He said he remained calm throughout experience despite feelings of anger and disappointment.
The incident has since made him reconsider whether to patronize the vendor again, highlighting the daily frustrations customers sometimes face over food delivery and packaging quality.
The situation has prompted reflection on food handling standards among small retailers, particularly around the durability of packaging during take-out.
