Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has playfully lashed out at some of her married co-stars as she reflects on personal development.
In a post she shared on her Instagram page, the actress said she no longer envies married people, adding that many of the people she once looked up to in marriage are no longer in their communities.
“You think I envy married people? God forbid. 80% of those I once admired are now back on the streets. Who does marriage help Abeg?” she wrote.
She further took the moment to advise her followers on personal development, encouraging them to distance themselves from anything that people, environments, habits or situations no longer support their growth or are not in line with their life goals.
“Growth sometimes looks like going away.
Moving away from people, places, habits and situations that no longer align with who you are becoming, not because of anger, bitterness or pride but out of self-respect. Some chapters need to end so that new ones can begin. I’ve learned that protecting your own peace isn’t selfish, and letting go is often the bravest form of self-love.
If it no longer serves your purpose, your happiness, or your growth, it’s okay to leave it behind. Real things will not require you to give up to keep them”.
