Governor Adeleke accuses Osun CP of non-cooperation amid alleged APC violence.

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State expressed frustration over the security situation in the state, accusing the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan non-cooperation in efforts to maintain peace.
Speaking during a press briefing recorded in a video circulating online, Adeleke said suspected APC-linked thugs were responsible for the recent violent incidents in the state.
“I am very, very sad. The Commissioner of Police in Osun State is not cooperating, that’s why we still have problems. I don’t know what his problem is,” said the governor.
According to Adeleke, he was informed of the report shooting involving suspected APC thugswho allegedly attacked residents and opened fire in parts of the state.
“I was told that there was a shootout in Osun involving bandits with armored personnel carriers. They came out and started shooting people. I am doing my best to keep Osun calm and there is no chaos, but they continue to shoot and kill people,” he stated.
The allegations come amid reports of attacks and shootings in Osogbo, Ede and Ile-Ife, with the state government, the APC and the Accord Party offering different accounts of the incidents and blaming rival political groups.
At the time of filing this report, the Osun State Police Command and the APC have not publicly responded to the allegations.
