Hansi Flick was named La Liga coach of the season after Barcelona’s title defense


Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick was called La Liga Coach of the year for the 2025-26 season after leading the club to another league title.
Flick’s Barcelona side finished eight points ahead of rivals Real Madrid and secured the league title with three games remaining.
Back-to-back recognition for Flick
This award marks the second consecutive Coach of the Year accolade for Flick, following another very consistent season at the helm of the Catalan club.
His side also set a strong standard at home, completing a perfect La Liga campaign at their home stadium by winning all 19 games.

Strong statistical dominance throughout the season
Barcelona finished the season with 31 wins from 38 games, with one draw and six losses. They finished with a +59 goal difference, scoring 95 goals and conceding 36.
The figures reflect a balanced side that combined attacking efficiency with defensive control throughout the campaign.
The new contract signals a long-term project
After winning La Liga, Flick extended his contract with Barcelona until 2028.
They will now look to build on the success and push for a third straight league title next campaign.
