Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has shared how she met her husband, revealing that she felt a spiritual confirmation that he would eventually become her life partner the very first day they met.
Speaking in a recent interview with DANG, she explained that she never grew up under the pressure of marriage and was not someone who spent time imagining or fantasizing about marriage.
She said:
“I’ve never really been a girl who sits around and thinks about marriage. It just wasn’t for me. I didn’t even know if I was going to get married. I knew I was a catch and that whoever married me would be lucky.”
The screenwriter said that they first met at work when he approached her and tried to start a conversation. Although initially disinterested, she eventually allowed the interaction to continue, and they ended up discussing business opportunities, including imports and Vietnam.
She further revealed that just as she was about to leave, she felt a strong spiritual message confirming that he was her future husband. Interestingly, she said she still blocked him two days later, but he later tried to find her again.
“As I was about to leave, the Spirit of God told me that he was my husband. Two days later, I blocked him, but he tried to find me. Four months later, he proposed to me and I accepted,” she added.
Ruth Kadiri also noted that she was already in another relationship at the time before she eventually agreed to go on a date with him. She added that openly sharing parts of her relationship journey helped her stay committed throughout the process.
