A video circulating on social media sparked reactions after a woman was seen displaying cash while expressing support for the rulers Congress of All Progressives following Ekiti State election for governorship.
In the video, the woman claimed to have received ₦15,000 in exchange for her vote and openly celebrated the alleged payment by showing off the money on camera.
Showing the cash, she said…
“Armored personnel carrier for life. 15,000 Naira per vote, don’t whine to me.”
The video caused different reactions on the Internet. Critics have condemned the alleged incident, arguing that vote-buying undermines democratic processes and undermines electoral integrity.
Others questioned the authenticity of the claim and called on authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding the video.
