Funeral held in Abia State

The actor, who reportedly died on May 11, 2026, after battling metastatic kidney cancer, was buried in his hometown in Arochukwu, Abia State.

Earlier, a service of songs was held for him in Lagos on June 10, 2026, before the last rites of burial proceeded in his hometown, where his wife was also present to pay her last respects.

As she stood near the casket, she was seen placing her hand on her stomach as she mourned, a moment that quickly caught the attention of the internet.

Moving on to X, a woman identified as @Iam_sistabibi shared what she noticed in a clip amid constant pregnancy rumors.

She wrote:

“The rumors that late Alex Ekubo’s wife is pregnant are true. Look how she is holding her belly. This is so heartbreaking.”

She added in the comments:
