Content creator and comedian Lay wasabi he spoke openly about his appreciation of music Wizkid changed as his life circumstances developed.
Speaking about his experience as a long-time fan, Layi revealed that he has supported Wizkid since the singer’s early stages career and often found himself involved in discussions about Wizkid and Davido while at school.
According to him, there was a period when he became dissatisfied with Wizkid’s musical direction, especially when the singer started releasing more tender and reflective songs.
Layi explained that at the time he preferred music that reflected struggle, hustle and ambition.
However, he noticed that his perspective changed as his life improved. He said that over time he came to appreciate Wizkid’s softer style of music again, suggesting that his personal experiences influenced the type of music he connected with.
“I was a fan of Wizkid from the beginning. I had a lot of fights at school because of Wizkid and David. When he started making light music, I kept complaining that I had to hear the fight, but I started enjoying Wizkid’s music again when my life got better,” he said.
