Viral video with Nollywood actress Regina Daniels sparked a backlash on social media after suggesting she received half of her ex-husband’s assets after the divorce.
In a clip that has been doing the rounds on the internet, the actress is seen dancing and celebrating, while the caption on the video reads, “Married at 19, divorced at 24, collected half of his assets.”
The video quickly caught the attention of many Nigerians, with social media users debating the implications of the statement and sharing different opinions on marriage, divorce and property rights.

Another user, Gabzyexpressed concern about the message conveyed in the video, saying: “Did she think that men would see this video and have property in their name and when you divorce you will pick up his property. Men are Hakims now oooh. I can’t get a real estate registry in my name because these women are now gold diggers.”
