Nollywood actress Ini Dima Okojie and her husband, Eneobong Abasi have welcomed their first child together, a boy.
The actress announced her arrival in the world with a sincere post that she shared on Instagram while celebrating her birthday.
Looking back on her special day, Ini revealed that her birthdays are usually marked by glamorous photo sessions, elaborate styling and carefully chosen concepts. But this year’s celebration has a much deeper meaning.
According to the actress, motherhood has become the most demanding and transformative role she has ever experienced. She described the past few weeks as a combination of beauty, exhaustion, overwhelming emotions and immense fulfillment.
The new mother said that spending time with her son and getting to know him was the greatest gift she could have received. She also admitted that caring for a newborn was far more of a challenge than she expected, noting that she wasn’t fully prepared for what the experience would entail.
Despite the sleepless nights and hardships of the newborn phase, Ini expressed her gratitude for the journey, saying she wouldn’t trade the experience for anything.

“Every year my birthday comes with a photo shoot, glam and a carefully planned concept.
None of that was good this year.
Instead, I’m sharing a photo from the day my son was born. The day my life changed forever.
Because as special as every birthday is, this one is different. This year I celebrate as a mother.
There is no role I have ever played that has humbled me, stretched me, challenged me or filled my heart like this one. These past weeks have been some of the most beautiful, interesting, exhausting and rewarding of my life.
Meeting this little man, the cutest boy with the cutest dimples, was the greatest gift. Watching him grow, learn from him, love him and care for him has shown me strengths I didn’t know I had. It also gave me an even greater appreciation for mothers everywhere. The newborn phase is no joke, and I definitely didn’t fully understand what was in store for me. But even on the hardest days, I wouldn’t trade this trip for anything.
I feel incredibly grateful that God chose me for this responsibility and entrusted me with such a precious life.
Thank you for all the love, prayers, support and kindness you have shown me during this new chapter. It meant more than you know.
Today I celebrate another year of life, but even more than that, I celebrate the privilege of being his mom.
