‘The longer you wait, the worse it is’ – VDM calls on Governor Makinde to act on abducted children

Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has called on Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde to take immediate action to rescue the abducted children, warning that delays could worsen the situation.
In a message to the governor, VeryDarkMan claimed that waiting for the “perfect time” to launch a rescue operation could give the kidnappers more time to hold the victims captive.
“One more thing Mr. Gov, if you wait for the perfect time to go rescue those children, they will keep them there for a long time and even marry them off to other kidnappers.”
He further stated that many people were willing to support the rescue efforts despite the risks involved.
“We’re ready to go into the wilderness with you today or tomorrow and we know there’s going to be collateral damage and we’re ready for it.”
According to him, his observations of bandit activities over time have led him to believe that a strong response is necessary.
“I have studied these bandits for so long that I realized that if they push and you don’t push back, they will take it as weakness and start demanding levies from the farmers of Oyo State.”
