Verydarkman calls for swift action after new video of kidnapped Oyo teachers and students

Activist on social networks Verydarkman was reacting to a recently released video purportedly showing some of the teachers and students who were abducted in the Oyo State, calling on the authorities to act urgently to secure their release.
The video allegedly shows the principal, Mrs. Alamu, makes a new call from captivity disputing claims that the kidnappers demanded money, weapons or the implementation of Sharia law.
Her statements added a new dimension to the ongoing debate about the conditions for the release of the victims.
Reacting to the video, VeryDarkMan claims that the government’s priority should be the safe return of children and teachers who have been detained for more than two weeks.
He expressed the view that all realistic and verifiable requests that can secure their freedom should be considered without delay, stressing that the welfare of the victims should take precedence over lengthy negotiations or political reasons.
The comments sparked fierce reactions online, with many Nigerians continuing to call for immediate intervention and a solution to the crisis.
Meanwhile, authorities have yet to provide comprehensive details regarding the authenticity of the video or the exact demands being made by the kidnappers.

“Everything is very clear and I think their request is very very realistic. I don’t think the government should wait for a second. There should be any debate whether they are talking about one billion or not. It is clear because they are the ones who recorded it. I personally think it is a very very good trade. Because these are just children who have been in the bush for more than two weeks. I think there is no reason to think if this is what they want. Please give them what they want some children come home”
