VeryDarkMan Reacts To Criticism For Commenting On Terrorism Amid Oyo School Abductions

Social media activist VeryDarkMan has sparked backlash online after drawing criticism for his comments on the government’s handling of terrorism and insecurity.

He revealed on Instagram that many people attacked him after he suggested that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should consider accepting the demands of terrorists in certain situations.

According to him, the growing insecurity across the country has left many Nigerians vulnerable and urgent solutions are needed to protect innocent lives.

“Some people are abusing me because I said Tinubu should accept the demands of the terrorists. What does it matter if they release the terrorists in captivity?” he said.

The VDM claimed that terrorists were already operating in different parts of the country and questioned the effectiveness of the government’s security strategy.

He further stated that the security challenges facing the country could have been prevented if more attention had been paid to strengthening national security.

“Terrorists are everywhere anyway, and they shouldn’t be in Nigeria at all if Tinubu invested in our security,” he added.

The activist also criticized the government’s spending priorities, saying huge sums have been allocated to projects while insecurity continues to worsen.

The reaction comes after VeryDarkMan reacted to a fresh video of the kidnapped school principal appealing to the government to meet the kidnappers’ demands by releasing the detained members of their group.

The VDM argued that the request should be considered for the safety of the schoolchildren, who were allegedly held captive for more than two weeks.

His comments have since drawn mixed reactions online, with some Nigerians agreeing with his concerns about insecurity while others disagreed with his stance on negotiating with terrorists.
