Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has expressed his sadness over reports of the death and burial of his co-star Alexx Ekubo, sharing a heartfelt tribute on social media.
The revered screen icon reposted an old photo of herself with Alexx along with a short emotional message that read: “Goodnight son, Ikuku nwa m.” He also shared a video clip of the burial proceedings which reportedly took place in the actor’s hometown in Arochukwu, Abia State.
In a further show of respect, Pete Edochie has updated his Instagram profile picture, replacing it with a picture of Alexx Ekubo as a mark of respect.
Meanwhile, fellow veteran actor Chiwetal Agu also paid tribute, expressing sadness at the development and describing Alexx as a talented storyteller whose impact in the film industry will be remembered for years to come.
He noted that the industry has not only lost a performer, but also a creative voice whose contributions have left a lasting impact.
