An attempted proposal at a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp has sparked widespread reactions online after a viral video showed a young man kneeling on propose to a lady he allegedly met just five days earlier.
According to details shared with the video, the couple met during the ongoing NYSC orientation programme.
A man, clearly eager to take his relationship to the next levelhe decided to publicly express his feelings by giving an engagement ring and asking the lady to marry him.
However, the proposal did not go according to plan.
The lady ignores the proposal attempt
The video shows the man kneeling with the ring while the woman continues what she’s doing, seemingly not paying enough attention to him.
Despite staying on one knee for a few seconds in an obvious attempt to get her attention, his efforts yielded no response.
Moments later, the lady left, leaving him still kneeling as onlookers watched the scene.
The clip has since gone viral on social media platforms, attracting a flurry of comments from users sharing differing opinions on the failed proposal.

Reacting to the video, Lovre criticized the man’s decision, writing: “The lady should have slapped him for trying to embarrass her publicly with his 2k ring. How can you possibly propose to someone 5 days after meeting them.”
