“The police told us we were asking for ransom money” – Lady shares disturbing details about her mother’s abduction

Nigerian lady has shared disturbing details of her mother’s abduction ordeal after the woman broke free from her captors in Ogun State.

In an earlier post published by Gistreel, the lady revealed that the family received a distress call from her mother who informed them that she had been abducted and the kidnappers demanded a ransom of ₦50 million for her release.

Speaking after her mother was released again, the lady told how the family first learned of the scale of the incident.

“After my mom called me that she had been kidnapped and that they needed a ransom, I called my brothers. That’s how we knew that my younger brother had escaped and reported the incident,” she said.

According to her, her younger brother managed to escape from the kidnappers and after that he reported the case to the police.

She explained that although security operatives raided the area following the report, efforts to locate the victims were unsuccessful.

The family was reportedly advised to focus on collecting the ransom after efforts to trace the kidnappers failed.

“The police later told us to go and demand ransom. They asked for food, recharge cards, bread, sardines and a transfer of N1 million,” she claimed.

The lady further disclosed that apart from cash, the kidnappers demanded various necessities before they agreed to release her mother.

She also told the tragic story of another kidnapped woman whose family allegedly paid ₦28 million to secure her freedom, only for the victim and the person who delivered the ransom to be killed by the kidnappers.

Despite the traumatic experience, the family expressed gratitude that their mother returned home alive and reunited with her loved ones.
