“Men Can Love You and Still Cheat” — Shank Comics sparks a discussion about relationships

Nigerian content creator and comedian Bar Comics sparked conversations online after sharing his views on love, commitment and infidelity in relationships.
The comedian, whose real name is Adedeji Adesokan, said this during a recent interview where he discussed what he believes motivates some men in romantic relationships.
According to him, it is possible for a man to sincerely love his partner while still engaging in relationships outside of that obligation.
His comments have since sparked mixed reactions on social media, with many users debating whether love and infidelity can coexist.
Shank Comics shares a controversial view on the relationship
Speaking during the interview, Shank explained that he believes many men are capable separating his emotions from his actions.
“I feel that men can multitask. I can love you and still cheat on you. I think they love you enough not to… I don’t think cheating is trying to hurt you; are you calling me? But you get hurt in the process”
The comedian suggested that while cheating isn’t always intended to cause pain, emotional consequences often follow.
The comedian admits that the explanation sounds irrational
As he continued to explain his position, Shank acknowledged that his argument might not make sense to everyone.
“The more I try to explain this, the more crazy I sound… But yes, it’s true that men can love you and still love cheating“, he stated.
The remarks quickly gained attention online, with some people agreeing that feelings and actions don’t always line up, while others strongly disagreed with the comedian’s perspective.
The debate has added to ongoing conversations about trust, loyalty and commitment in modern relationships, with many social media users sharing differing opinions on whether true love can exist alongside infidelity.
