Nigerian woman cried out online after sharing a shocking experience with a savings box she had been using for more than two years.
According to her, she kept putting money into the box, including cash gifts, birthday money, pounds, dollars and thousands of naira notes, with the hope of using the funds for something extraordinary.
Narrating the ordeal, she said:
“Things happen ooo. I’ve been saving money in this safe for two years now. If I calculate the money I’ve put in there, it should be over a million pounds.”
The woman said she made up her mind recently break the box so she can use the money buy a popcorn maker.
However, she was stunned to reportedly discover that only £12,000 was left inside despite believing she had saved more than £1 million.
“I personally broke it. There were no signs that anyone had touched it. But when I opened it, I only saw ₦12,000. The dollars, pounds and all the money I kept there were gone,” she added.
The video sparked mixed reactions online, with some social media users suggesting the box may have had a hidden opening, while others jokingly blamed spiritual forces for the mysterious disappearance.
Still trying to figure out what happened, the woman warned people not to buy piggy banks, insisting she could not explain how such a large amount of money had allegedly disappeared without any visible signs of tampering.
