American actor Daveigh Chase died at 35

Daveigh ChaseThe American actress best remembered for her iconic performance as a long-haired ghost crawling out of television in The Ring has died of sepsis, her longtime manager John Ryan Jr. told BBC News on Wednesday. She was 35 years old.
Ryan stated that Chase was brought to the hospital due to malnutrition before her death.
Chase died Tuesday of complications from meningitis, which progressed to a bloodstream infection and, eventually, sepsis.
“She was the greatest.” She loved cats. She cooperated with us in cat rescue operations. Ryan, Chase’s friend and manager of 15 years, described her as an aloof person who preferred indie ventures to studio pictures. “She would love to eat at Bob’s Big Boy and come home with pets. She enjoyed acting, but she wasn’t interested in famous scenes.
Chase’s lead role was Samara Morgan, a long-haired ghost who emerges from television in the horror film The Ring, the American version of the Japanese classic about a videotape that kills people who watch it.
She won the MTV Movie Award for Best Villain in 2003 for her creepy, demonic performance.
Chase stated that she enjoyed playing such a badass character.
“This is not your average character. They usually go for a happy kid, but Samara was an intriguing role. “I just took my own voice and gave it this weird twist,” she told the Los Angeles Times in 2002.
In the same year, she played the Elvis-obsessed Hawaiian Lilo in the animated film Lilo and Stitch. The role earned her an Annie Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Feature-Length Animated Production, and she returned to play the character in later spin-offs.
