According to his family, the actor died of complications from advanced metastatic kidney cancer.

A clip that shares Facebook user, Blessing Nnamekwe shows an elderly man touching the actor’s coffin.
The lady asked for clarification of the man’s act and invited the actor’s family to investigate.
”The family of Alexx Ekubo should question the man. Why did he touch the coffin with his rings“, the announcement reads.
Meanwhile, Alexx Ekuba’s sister-in-law has spoken of their last moments before his death, as condolences and tributes pour in.
In a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, Ify Ekubo revealed that Alexx Ekubo plans to be in Houston, promising to call her before his birthday.
Reflecting on the actor’s legacy, she stated, “You were a mentor to my children and their older brother. It’s good”.
