Morayo Brown opened up about the personal reason behind her decision to leave Harvesters International Christian Centre, sharing an emotional chapter in her life during a conversation with Pastor Bolaji Idowu.
Frankly speaking, Morayo revealed that her departure from the church was influenced by a failed relationship with a fellow priest. According to her, both she and her ex-partner were actively serving in the church, and she had the role of chief gatekeeper, while he was also involved in the ministry.
Looking back on that experience, she admitted that the breakup had a big impact on her, and it was difficult for her to stay in the same environment after the end of the relationship.
“I left Harvesters Church because of a man. He broke up with me. We were both ministers in the church; I was the head porter and he was the preacher,” she revealed during the discussion.
Her discovery has sparked conversations online, with many people talking about the emotional challenges that can arise when personal relationships and church commitments become intertwined.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of healing, growing and finding the strength to move forward after difficult life experiences, especially within close-knit faith communities.
