“Pay for your own food if you won’t follow me home” – Lady recounts the unpleasant experience of the date
Nigerian lady sparked reactions online after recounting an unpleasant experience she allegedly had with a man she described as a stage for a chat.
In a viral video shared on TikTok, she revealed that the man she described as her chatterbox called her one morning and asked her out, saying he was thinking about her. She accepted the invitation, and later they met for dinner.
While talking about the incident, she said that initially everything went smoothly as they talked, laughed and enjoyed a meal together.
She said in her own words:
“He called me and said, ‘Princess, I’d like to take you out on a date.’ We met, talked and had dinner. Everything went well.”
The lady said that the situation changed when she informed him that she wanted to leave because it was already late.
According to her, the man allegedly insisted on following him home after trip and got angry when she refused.
“He said that if I didn’t go home with him, I should pay back the money for the food and transportation. I told him if he couldn’t pay the bill, he should wash the plates for the restaurant,” she recounted.
She claimed that she eventually left the premises and went home, only for the man to bombard her with abusive messages afterwards.
The story has since drawn mixed reactions online, with some social media users supporting the lady’s stance, while others argued that both parties should have communicated their expectations before agreeing to the date.
