“God told me he was the one, but I still blocked him” – Ruth Kadiri talks about how she met her husband

Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri opened up about how she met her husband, revealing that she believed God told her he was the man she would eventually marry the first day they met.

Speaking during a recent interview with DANG, she explained that she never grew up under pressure to get married and was never the type to fantasize about marriage.

“I’ve never really been a girl who sits around and thinks about marriage. It just wasn’t for me. I didn’t even know if I was going to get married. I knew I was a catch and that whoever married me would be lucky.” she said.

The talented screenwriter revealed that she met her husband at work when he approached her and tried to start a conversation.

Although she wasn’t interested at first, she eventually gave him a chance and they continued to talk about business, imports and Vietnam.

She further revealed that as she was about to leave, she felt a clear message from God telling her that he was her future husband. Surprisingly, she blocked him two days later, but he later tried to find her again.

“As I was about to leave, the Spirit of God told me that he was my husband. Two days later, I blocked him, but he tried to find me. Four months later, he proposed to me and I accepted,” she added.

Ruth Kadiri also noted that she was in another relationship at the time before finally going on a date with him, adding that sharing parts of her relationship publicly helped her stay committed to the journey.
