Grammy-winning singer Thems explained why she doesn’t see herself as romantic relationships with Nigerian male celebrities.
Speaking during an interview at the BET Awards, Tems was asked if she would join Maduka Okoye, the Super Eagles goalkeeper, if given the chance.
In response, the “Love Me Jeje” singer said she finds it difficult to look at him romantically due to the fact that they are both Nigerians.
Tems added that she is generally not interested in relationships with other Nigerian celebrities as she sees them as “brothers”.
“I know who Maduka Okoye is, but I don’t know him personally. I wish I did though. But shooting at him, we don’t do that here.”
“We (Nigerian celebrities) are friends with each other and we are family. I see my male counterparts as brothers,” she said.
