Activist on social networks Verydarkman raised the alarm over the reported disappearance of activist Livinus Nwosu, alleging that he was taken away by armed men while he was allegedly conducting voter sensitization activities in Bayelsa State.
According to reports circulating online, Nwosu was allegedly abducted by masked men dressed in black while leading residents to get their permanent voter cards (PVC).
His wife reportedly contacted VeryDarkMan and members of the Ratel movement after she was unable to locate him.
Verydarkman reacts to the arrest of activists
Reacting to the development, VeryDarkMan claimed that the incident was linked to Nwosu’s voter education campaign, which was reportedly aimed at encouraging citizens not to sell their votes and educating communities on voter registration and civic participation.
He further stated that the aim of the action was to discourage political awareness among the youth and to divert attention from ongoing voter mobilization efforts.
The activist stated that efforts will be made to seek clarification from the security authorities in Bayelsa State and provide legal assistance if necessary.
He also used the incident to criticize the administration of President Bola Tinubu, arguing that the government has failed to adequately address key national challenges.
So far, there has been no official confirmation from the authorities regarding Nwosu’s whereabouts or the circumstances surrounding his alleged detention.
The claims remain accusations, and many Nigerians have called on the relevant security agencies for transparency and clarification.

“Livinus Nwosu was arrested by armed gunmen dressed in black. His wife just called me tonight. This is a move by President Tinubu’s government to silence the youths and stop the sensitization that is going on right now. They have seen that the youths are very active and the youths really want to get their PVC and are ready to vote. They are doing all this to scare the people and distract the people.
Livinus Nwosu was arrested in Bayelsa state. God so kind that this happened in public, he will go and meet the Bayelsa state police and we will send a lawyer there.
Like it or not, we will create this awareness. Gone are the days when you will just give people 5K Naira and a bag of rice to vote for you, no.
President Tinubu you failed. You have failed to protect the lives of Nigerian citizens. You don’t deserve a second chance…”
