Career
Yohanna signed for AIK on June 29, 2025, with a contract that runs until December 31, 2029. Yohanna began his AIK career with the club’s under-19 team, where he scored four goals in three P19 Allsvenskan games.
It wasn’t long before head coach Mikkjal Thomassen started regularly including Yohanna in first team training sessions.
He made his debut for AIK on 17 August 2025 as a substitute in the 89th minute against IFK Göteborg at Gamla Ullevi, in a 2–1 loss. Three days later, Yohanna made his AIK debut, playing the entire game in the 2025–26 Svenska Cupen qualifying round against Hudiksvalls FF, which AIK won easily 7–0.
AIK fired Mikkjal Thomassen before the 2026 season and replaced him with José Rivera, the Spanish coach. After the managerial change and the implementation of the new 4-3-3 formation, Yohanna established himself as the team’s right wing, a position he quickly mastered during the preseason.
On 9 March 2026, Yohanna scored his first two goals for AIK in a 4–0 win over BK Häcken at the Strawberry Arena, securing qualification for the quarter-finals of the Swedish Cup.
In the quarter-final against GAIS, Yohanna scored one of AIK’s goals, heading in Áron Csongvai’s cross in the second half. However, AIK lost 3-2 and was eliminated from the cup.
Yohanna made his Allsvenskan debut on 5 April 2026 at the Strawberry Arena, scoring his first league goal. Cutting in from the right flank, he raced past two defenders inside the penalty area before clinically delivering the winner to defeat Halmstads BK 2-1.
Following Yohanna’s impressive start to the 2026 season, transfer speculation has increased. In April, reports emerged linking the player with German clubs including Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen.
Yohanna continued his great form during the spring of 2026, scoring the only goal for AIK in a 1-1 draw against IF Elfsborg at Borås Arena on 3 May. On May 10, he assisted Kevin Filling in a 4-2 loss against Djurgårdens IF.
Yohanna confirmed on June 6, 2026 that he will join the English Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion when the transfer window opens on 15 June 2026.
