“I already liked him…” – the lady recounts how a man she met in a restaurant cheated her out of 500 thousand pounds

Nigerian lady shared how a man she met during a solo date at a restaurant allegedly won her trust before disappearing with £500,000 she lent him.

According to a video shared on TikTok, the confrontation began when a waiter brought a bottle of wine to her table, explaining that it had been sent by a man sitting across from her.

Narrating the ordeal, she said:

“I went to a restaurant on a solo date. A few minutes later, the waiter brought wine to my table. I told him I didn’t order it, and he pointed to the man sitting across from me and said he was the one who sent it.”

The couple allegedly exchanged contacts after the conversation, and the man even paid for her taxi. Although he initially stopped communicating, he later called and explained that he was busy.

A few weeks later they met again in what she described as a fancy restaurant.

During the date, the man allegedly claimed to be facing s financially urgent and need ₦700,000 complete the transaction.

“He said the money he expected was hanging. I sent him ₦500,000 and told him I would pay for the dinner,” she recounted.

However, the lady claimed that the next day she discovered that she was blocked on all platforms.

The story has since sparked reactions online, with many urging people to be careful when lending money to people they barely know.
