As a reminder, the singer was fatally stabbed in Silvertown, East London on June 5, 2026.

In a candid Instagram post, Scribz Riley recounted their last conversation about chasing dreams and staying positive.
Reflecting on the singer’s legacy, Scribz Riley described him as a friend, mentor and inspiration.
According to him, his legacy lives on through his music, family and friends.
”You inspired so many people and your legacy will live on through your legacy which will live on through your music, your family and friends“, the announcement reads.
Biography of Talay Riley
Born in a Nigerian family in London. Talay remembers singing for the first time at the age of 5, influenced by his older brother and sister playing MC Hammer CDs. Growing up in East London, he was exposed to pop music in the early 1990s.
At the age of 18, he signed his first major publishing contract with Global Publishing. He studied business and law at Kingston University.
His first appearance was in 2009 on rapper Chipmunk’s single ‘Look for Me’, which reached number 7 on the UK Singles Chart.
Additionally, he is signed to Jive/Sony Records as a songwriter and performer.
