In a post on X (formerly Twitter), @Mrbachelor he revealed that the £30,000 a month he was sending to his aunt came from his salary.

According to him, she lives in the village and reached out to complain about her leaking roof and crumbling grocery store.
Meanwhile, he survived on gari and groundnuts to keep his aunt from starving.
A man travels to his hometown
However, in December 2025, he traveled to his hometown for a family reunion.
Upon arrival, he walked to her street, sweating while carrying half a bag of rice he bought.
Expecting to see his sister’s dilapidated house, he came upon a four-room split-level apartment with a partition and a well, leaving him confused.
Upon enquiry, he was informed that a luxury apartment had recently been completed and that his aunt had purchased two buses for her commercial transport company.
While standing at the gate, he received her call asking for a month’s salary.
Recounting the phone conversation, he tweeted, “My son,” her voice cracked miserably over the line. Did you send money this month? I haven’t drunk water since yesterday”.
