“You’re already looking, don’t fake it in public” – Mofe Duncan slams critic who called love for Alex Ekubu ‘fake’

- Mofe Duncan has slammed a social media user who claimed the public display of love for Alex Ekubo was fake.
- The actor described the comment as insensitive and said it reflected what happens when people abuse social media platforms.

Nollywood actor Mofe Duncan has hit back at a social media user who suggested that the outpouring of love and support for late actor Alex Ekubo was disingenuous.
The exchange started after the actor shared a post related to Alex Ekubo, prompting the commenter to question the sincerity of his detractors.
An individual wrote:
“All these shows of so-called love, if they say they’re going to make one of them die immediately for him, voice mail!”
That remark angered Mofe Duncan, who responded sharply.
“Don’t be silly!! You already look like that…don’t fake it in public.”
Sharing a screenshot of the exchange on his Instagram page, the actor expressed his frustration with the comment and criticized the mindset behind it.
“Just look at this… persona non grata,” he wrote over the screenshot.
Mofe Duncan further added:
“This pissed me off. That’s what happens when you put smartphones in the hands of people who weren’t raised properly.”
The actor’s response has since sparked backlash online, with many supporting his stance and arguing that people should be allowed to grieve and honor the memories of loved ones without their motives being questioned.
