“Take it to Edo State, we don’t want you here” – Arewa Youth President warns VDM amid protests in Abuja

President of the association Arewa YouthsYerima Shettima has issued a strong warning to social media activists VeryDarkMan amid an ongoing protest led by an activist in Abuja.
In a viral video circulating online, he accused the activist of previously insulting northerners and called on him to move his protest to Edo State instead of taking it to Northern Nigeria.
“Before I return to Abuja, VeryDarkMan, you should move your protest to Edo State. I am not in Abuja. VeryDarkMan, this message is for you and your sponsors. Move your protest to Edo State before I return to Abuja,” he stated.
The Arewa youth leader asserted that security agencies have recently recorded successes in the fight against insecurity and should not be distracted by protests that may create tension in the north.
He also insisted on it Young people from the north were ready to defend their region and they would not tolerate any actions that they believe could destabilize the area.
“We are not afraid of you. Let me tell you, VeryDarkMan, you and whoever supports you, we Northern Nigerians are ready. We are ready to protect the North. Move your protest back to Edo State.
There is insecurity in Edo state, so go there and lead your protest. Don’t start it in Abuja. This is a warning for you,” he added.
The warning comes after VeryDarkMan returned from China and started protests in Abuja over misrule and the recent spate of kidnappings across the country, while also demanding the immediate rescue of the kidnapped Oyo school victims.
The remarks have since sparked reactions online, with Nigerians divided on the warning and the ongoing protest.
